Here is a little footage of catching a crayfish (ornate) by hand. Down in NSW it is illegal to shoot crayfish with a speargun in order to pull them from caves and cracks. Note in the short video clip that the crayfish caught clearly has eggs on it underbelly, though prior to being pulled from the crack i was unable to see any eggs.
